Laser Cutting

What is Laser Cutting?

Using the same technology as Laser Engraving, the laser can make extremely fast ‘pulses’ of energy to cut different materials. Using a CO2 laser, softer materials can be cut, including, acrylic, mat board, laminates, leather, paper, plastic, textiles and wood.

The thickest acrylic material that we can effectively cut is 1/2 inch acrylic using our Trotec Speedy 300, 80 watt laser. In wood laminate we can cut  1/4 inch thick material.

Laser Cutting for Logos & Images

Bronco logo.jpg

It starts with the mat...

Depending on the effect you're after, selecting the right mat material, color, relief and what we cut makes all the difference.

Look at the Bronco Logo on the left. This is not a picture or decal, this is a complex image made up by cutting the colored mats for each layer, then assembling them, and finally framing the finished 3-D compilation.

For each logo below each color is a layer or mat embellishment.
